Refund to Assets 7 (R2A 7) Request for Proposal (Tax Season 2010)
D2D is pleased to sponsor the fourth year of its U.S. Savings Bond tax season pilot test (for tax season 2010). A Request for Proposal (RFP) to particpate in Refund to Assets 7 ("R2A 7") is available here.
The RFP has two components:
1) A narrative component, which describes the project's objectives, VITA site participation requirements and D2D's responsibilities during the pilot. It also includes key lessons that we have learned offering bonds to clients in the past.
2) An application form to be completed by all respondents. Click here for a link to an online application; please read the instructions carefully before completing the application.
For your reference, the questions in the online application are available in this pdf document.
In addition, if you'd like to review our results from the pilot of Tax Season 2009, please read our report here.
The application due date is September 21st, 2009 and the review process will be completed on or before October 8th, 2009.
We recently heard great news--in his September 5 weekly address, President Obama announced that the Savings Bond Working Group's policy proposal to return U.S. Savings Bonds to the tax return will occur, starting in January 2010 for TS10. The pilot described in this RFP will, however, proceed full steam ahead. So please complete and submit your application today!
We look forward to hearing from you. Please let us know if you have any questions!
