D2D (now Commonwealth) has released a report with the results of a pilot studying the role of Financial Entertainment in the classroom. Over 100 students and teachers participated in the pilot, generously supported by Capital One. Students competed in class-wide tournaments then engaged in teacher-led debrief sessions on game topics. D2D deployed pre- and post- gameplay surveys to quantitatively evaluate impact. Key findings included:

  1. 65% of students demonstrated increased financial literacy after playing Farm Blitz;
  2. 35% more students knew debt grows faster on interest than savings post gameplay;
  3. Teachers reported students were engaged and enthusiastic.
